Goal setting, record keeping, and reflection are important aspects of 4-H learning and positive development.
Keeping a 4-H record book can help youth:
- Learn how to set reasonable goals for themselves
- Recognize and appreciate what they’ve learned each year from through the goals they reach
- Keep track of costs of their projects
- Gather information needed to aplly for awards and scholarships (having this information organized makes scholarship applications much easier to complete, both 4-H and non 4-H)
- Complete applications and resumes for jobs and colleges
