All-State Selection

For All-State consideration:

– Wyoming 4-H members can accumulate points from four (4) sanctioned contests. (A Wyoming 4-H member can accumulate up to a maximum of 12 points prior to competing in the State 4-H Contest.)

– Only two (2) scores can be counted from sanctioned contests held in a county.

Final rankings and All-State status will be determined by adding points from best four (4) sanctioned contests to the points from the State 4-H Contest.

Awarding Points

At each sanctioned contest, a 4-H member can earn a maximum of three (3) points:

                 -One (1) point for competing.

-The top 10 ranked Wyoming 4-H members in each age division receive one (1) point based on the overall contest rankings.

-The top 10% of the total number of contestants entered in each age division each receive one (1) point.

Note: A maximum of 12 points can be earned from sanctioned contests and then added to points earned from the State 4-H Contest.

At the State 4-H Contest:

                 – One (1) point for competing.

-The top 10 ranking youth in each age division will each receive two (2) points.

-The top 10% of the total number of contestants entered in each age division each receive one (1) point.

-If a tie break is needed, the higher ranking at the State 4-H Contest will win.

Note: A maximum of 4 points can be earned from the State 4-H Contest.

Final rankings and All-State status will be determined by adding points from best (4) sanctioned contests to the points from the State 4-H Contest
