Q. What is the highlight of your career?
A. Going to a movie or a TV show I have been involved with and seeing the crowds react.
Q. What are challenges you encounter in your career?
A. At my level, a lot of my job involves managing people’s expectations.
Q. How did you get to this career?
A. I thought I was going to be an architect. I realized I couldn’t sit behind a desk. I loved movies, and my parents suggested I pursue filmmaking. I went to college in Montana for filmmaking and then moved to Hollywood, where I worked my way up to becoming a producer.
Q. What is something unique about your career most people might not know or understand about what you do?
A. It’s hard work with very long hours, it’s not very glamorous, and there are lots of different types of producers.
Q. Are there scholarship or internship opportunities available with your career? If so, where can more information about those be found?
A. No scholarships, but internships are available at the studios and agencies for college seniors. While I feel college is very important, it is not required for filmmaking.
