Q. What is the highlight of your career?
A. The highlight of my career is helping to inspire growth and connection with coworkers and my community.  I love helping our community care for the urban forest.

Q. What are challenges you encounter in your career?
A.  One of our main challenges is finding passionate employees.

Q. How did you get to this career?
A. My background is in outdoor education.  I found this career completely by random.  One day I saw a crew pruning a tree and it looked like so much fun I had to know more.  That day I applied for an entry level job and within the week I got an interview and was hired.

Q. Are there scholarship or internship opportunities available with your career? If so, where can more information about those be found?
A. There are college degrees for the Arboriculture and Urban Forestry careers.  Scholarships would be based on opportunities from the different schools.  There are internship opportunities available.  Again it is dependent on the specific company.  We have hired interns in the past and are currently working on a formal internship program for Taddiken Tree Company.
