Q. What is the highlight of your career?
A. The highlight of my professional career was being an infantry company commander in Afghanistan. The highlight of civilian career is my current job. I love coming to work each day and working with my team.
Q. What are challenges you encounter in your career?
A. One of the biggest challenges I encountered in my career was convincing a company to give me a chance after serving in the military for nearly a decade.
Q. How did you get to this career?
A. I had a high school chemistry teacher in high school who showed extra interest in me and I fell in love with chemistry. I went to UW and got a bachelor’s degree in chemistry. During the summers in college I interned at a pharmaceutical company.
