Q. What is the highlight of your career?
A. The People/kids- I’ve met so many interesting people in the culinary field. Working with kids now is awesome.
Q. What are challenges you encounter in your career?
A. There are many challenges. People have different tastes, wants, and needs. The hours are long and I am usually working when everyone else isn’t. Stress is also a factor because of the level of timing involved and volatility of the products used.
Q. How did you get to this career?
A. I started out washing dishes and worked my way up the chain of command.
Q. What is something unique about your career most people might not know or understand about what you do?
A. As a Chef I have to use many skills learned throughout school and my career. Art, mathematics, science, writing, mechanics, computer science, speech, theatre, and more.
Q. Are there scholarship or internship opportunities available with your career? If so, where can more information about those be found?
A. Scholarships are internships are available, individual paths dictate availability.
