Q. What is the highlight of your career?
A. Working with youth and families and seeing both personal and family growth.
Q. What are challenges you encounter in your career?
A. Insurance companies not paying for client’s mental health services.
Q. How did you get to this career?
A. I started student teaching and realized that I didn’t like the big classroom, but loved working with kids one on one, so I switched over from education to social work. I had my masters in social work a year later because I did the advanced program in a year.
Q. Are there scholarship or internship opportunities available with your career? If so, where can more information about those be found?
A. I have had several interns freshly out of college. I really enjoy working with interns. They are excited about the job and bring new and updated information.
