Q. What is the highlight of your career?<\/strong>
A. Procuring my first dog to a local agency or having handlers from 10th Special Forces Group attend one of my course.<\/p>

Q. What are challenges you encounter in your career?<\/strong>
A. There are many challenges.\u00a0 At 34 years old, I’m still considered very young and there’s many handlers out there with more years with a leash in hand than I. However, age or time in service do not equate to experience. I never want to fail, because if we fail in training, success on the street for my handlers decreases exponentially.<\/p>

Q. How did you get to this career?<\/strong>
A.\u00a0 I was employed as a contractor for the US Army as an animal health technician for the Military Working Dog program while residing in Hawaii and I had bonded very quickly with a k9 team that had come back from a deployment – Staff Sergeant Dan Lyon and MWD Zeno.<\/p>

Q. What is something unique about your career most people might not know or understand about what you do?<\/strong>
A.\u00a0 I develop dogs through self-discovery. I let them figure out how to earn reward. Self discovery creates activation from me.<\/p>

Q.\u00a0Are there scholarship or internship opportunities available with your career? If so, where can more information about those be found?<\/strong>
A.\u00a0 There are many schools out there and I will be offering internships in the future.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
