Q.<\/strong> What is the highlight of your career?<\/strong><\/p>

A.\u00a0<\/strong>The highlight of my career is working with patients, outstanding doctors, nurses, laboratory staff and other medical providers. I also love how each day is unique and allows you to keep growing and learning.<\/p>

Q.<\/strong> What are challenges you encounter in your career?<\/strong><\/p>

A. <\/strong>One of the unique challenges of my job is that healthcare is 24\/7, so sometimes work hours are challenging including night calls and potentially working holidays. \u00a0<\/p>

Q.<\/strong> How did you get to this career?<\/strong>
A. <\/strong>I started college at the University of Wyoming, looking to become a crop genetic engineer. \u00a0As I went through college, I realized I wanted to most likely live in Wyoming or Montana, so I needed a career that allowed me to be employed in these states. \u00a0 I had the right coursework that allowed me to apply to Pharmacy school and also stay at the University of Wyoming.<\/p>

Q. What is something unique about your career most people might not know or understand about what you do?<\/strong>
A. <\/strong>Pharmacists are always working to collaborate with providers often being the ones to recommend the most appropriate medications including class, strength and dose after considering special idiosyncrasies of the patient.\u00a0<\/p>

Q.<\/strong>\u00a0Are there scholarship or internship opportunities available with your career? If so, where can more information about those be found?<\/strong><\/p>

A. <\/strong>One choosing to go to Pharmacy school will have opportunities to apply for many scholarships for healthcare careers or college based scholarships. \u00a0<\/p>

I also recommend checking with local pharmacies for the opportunity to work as a pharmacy technician or clerk. This would require commitment to studying for and passing a licensing exam. \u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
